Tooling design constraints

  • PA-CF: 4% elongation. No snap-fits — use threaded inserts and screw assembly.
  • Fixture contact surfaces: account for FDM layer texture (±0.1 mm surface variation).
  • Large flat fixtures (>200 mm): ribbing recommended to prevent warp in PA-CF.
  • PETG ESD resistivity varies with print temperature. Specify target range for ESD-critical tooling.
